“I’ve always loved coming here. I took a few month hiatus from eating out, so it has been awhile since I had been back. I’ve been back 2 times in last month (one time ordered through a friend) The service was great, we always call ahead and our order is always ready. However, the last two times the smoothies were subpar, and the most recent was borderline undrinkable. The grasshopper had so much kale in it, that I was literally chewing tiny pieces of it. Although I put honey in it, it tasted so bitter because of the kale. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt that these last 2 times were an anomaly, being that in the past it has been such a great smoothies. Hoping they will make adjustments necessary because I’ve always loved coming here and would like to continue supporting their business”

“Never had a Turkey Ruben before but it was fantastic! Bread had a slight crisp, perfect amount of sauce, little heavy on the sour kraut but in all, great sandwich. “The young lady working the counter is a wonderful dynamo. She never stops, orders are accurate, timely and served with a smile. The food is fantastic! Generously seasoned, cooked to perfection. You will have a short wait, but well worth it. Get in here while you can, once the secret is out, there will be lines. The portions were over flowing. “I'm a Tally local and I've been going to China First for as long as I've lived here, which is well over fifteen years. This restaurant never disappoints, and is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in all of Tallahassee. The buffet prices are more than reasonable, and the food is consistently fresh. One of my favorite things to get from their buffet is the sushi, and unlike some of the places in town they don't limit the amount of sushi you're allowed to get. I will be continuing to dine here for many years to come.”

“Beautiful building and nice place for a drink. The food has been okay both times I’ve been, but it always is lacking a bit if flavor or salt. I was charged for ice in one of my drinks which was kind of crazy. The drinks are pricey but if you can find a drink on their happy hour menu that you enjoy, then I’d recommend taking advantage of that.”

“We left northern Leon county to come downtown to visit Chucks. It was fun and delicious. 3 of us were not in the fish mood, so the cheeseburgers were delicious. Big and flavorful. I had the chicken with gnocchi with a nice cream sauce. One daughter had the fresh brozed red snapper. All were done well. It's has a fresh decor and good service.”

“I have only ordered and eaten the Greek Chicken Salad, and it is surprisingly good. A Styrofoam shell piled high with lettuce, pickles, tomato, feta and chicken, a much larger portion than I expected. Eat outside and you can see the capital dome while rather hidden in the trees. It's a decent break from whatever it may be that brings you to the courthouse.”

“Food was very good and prices were very fair. The service could have been better. The waitress was very friendly, but once she brought our food to our table, I don't recall her making it back. Another waitress did come to our table to bring the check, and returned with a couple of items I'd asked for. There were plenty of waitresses, but they were up by the counter and not getting to the tables very often. In summary, very good food at very reasonable prices, very friendly servers, but not the greatest service. I would definitely return, as the good food and fair prices make up for the service, or lack thereof. And the service could have easily been a one time deal, as I'm from out of town and don't get to this establishment often.”
