We ordered a 2 for $30 seafood platter, included 2 impressive salads & 2 other sides. Everything cooked to perfection. I believe our server was Melissa. She made our anniversary dinner something extra special. We felt safe on the lovely patio & enjoyed the atmosphere & other patrons. Superb food & service.
We came in 20 min before closing, server definitely was in a hurry to leave.
If they had said it was too late we would have come another time. We felt pressured to eat fast.
Food was wonderful! Will definitely be back!
We just have a lot to say about our experience. We came to Cedar Key for anniversary, was advised to try the clam chowder for sure. We got there on Friday 10/23 and didn't know exactly their hours, literally pulled on door as waitress was turning the close sign, so sad but then she asked us how many? we told her 2 and she said come on it. Happy Happy.....they serve up that clam chowder (to die for and we bought the take out chowder they must sell truck loads of), we had seafood, scallops, grilled shrimp that were fresh and delish....such a nice memorable experience with my sweetheart of 28 years. We highly recommend if you can just pick one restaurant to visit this is it.
We had already eaten 2 hours earlier and drove to Cedar Key on a whim. We walked the strip for 30 minutes we were headed out when the wife spotted the Tony's sign saying that's where the clam chowder comes from. After eating it for the past year or so from cans we had to stop and try it. She loves chowder. The place is small and not the huge restaurant we expected. A sign on the wall dated the building to 1880, but it has been well preserved. After being seated we also ordered the popcorn shrimp and a shrimp skewer to go with our chowder. Remember we were not hungry at all, but we devoured our meal and both agreed it was the best seafood we have found to date. 3 counties from home and we will be going back. Karla was our server and very pleasant and attentive. We travel west central Florida trying different places form Steinhatchee to Venice and Tony's has just won.
