Grumpy's Diner on Main

Wow! Just got done eating at Grumpy's in Madison. It was a delight. I had the Awesome Burger with sweet potato fries which were delicious. My husband had the Grumpy Burger with regular fries. All were great. THEN we finished with their Banana and Carmel Pie!! That topped off a great lunch at a local lunch place where the waitresses know their customers and their regular orders. Only downside, they close at 3 pm

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Seaside and so glad we did. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The burgers were very good! Would definitely come back!

What a gem of a little restaurant. We were camping in the nearby rv resort and stopped by for a cinnamon roll. The people were so friendly and the restaurant was so cute we stayed for breakfast and the food did not disappoint, biscuits and gravy and an omelette were outstanding. Will definitely come back again before we hit the road.

The hospitality was great. We showed up 30 min before closing and they still took us in we were a group of 10. The food was fresh and delicious.

We were a group of 7 visiting Madison for the history tour. We were told Grumpy’s would be too small for our group, but we tried it anyway. So glad we did!!! We were prepared to sit separately outside when Dee Dee came out to tell us there was a private room in the back that would seat us all together. Perfect!! Dee Dee took our drink orders and told us that sadly she wouldn’t be waiting on us because she wasn’t on shift until dinner. But then she proceeded to be our server!! Service was better than excellent. Dee Dee was so cheerful and helpful and efficient. (Not one bit “Grumpy” LOL!) And the food was delicious!! Everyone was pleased with their meal, we were all so happy with our choice for lunch. Good food, good service and good prices. Highly recommend! Look for Dee Dee, service with a huge smile!!
