Delicious! My sister "Cat" got home from errands today bout noon. With a delightful smile she told me "I brought us lunch home. You know, from that BBQ place you been wanting to try." We went out & sat at our outdoor table. OMG🤤
Brisket melts in your mouth. Coleslaw like I've never had w/red onion, multi colored bell pepper, cabbage and just right dressing. Potato salad made just right. Yummy good Mac n Cheese, Garlic toast & interesting fried balls not of the norm "Loud puppies." The "designer sauces" were a Chef made to perfection. I highly recommend this place. their food is delicious.
Small eat-in area it is better for takeout.
Today's special was Smoked Brisket, $25.00 per pound. Collard green, Coleslaw.
This was the Best Smoked Brisket I have ever eaten.
We shop at Dunnellon Sea Food for fresh fish, scallops, shrimp regularly, and remember seeing this new place,
Soulful Southern Kitchen.
Two 👍's up, we will eat here again.

Don't overlook this little gem! They had run out of a number of things by the time I came in - a sign of a good BBQ place.
The guys were super friendly. BBQ was excellent and enough for two meals. The beans were a bit spicy for me, but that's just a matter of taste. Mashed sweet potato was very good and not too sweet.

Went back and fell IN LOVE with the black eyed pea salad. It's a cold, refreshing hit for summer. Sorry about the pic - I had already eaten most of it. It's not an everyday offering, so if it's on the board GET IT!

Some of the best barbecue/ soul food I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in my life time living in north central Florida. The gentleman at the counter was about 12 years old but he was extremely knowledgeable with his recommendations of the menu. And gave me the exact change perfectly. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was IMPECCABLE!!!! The fried green tomatoes were cooked to perfection. I will warn you that there isn’t really somwhere to eat inside the restaurant- but they can direct you to the nearest parks to enjoy your meal. And enjoy the meal we did. I will certainly be back next time I’m down in the area!!! Wonderful dining experience

I found Soulful Barbecue on the Internet, so I figured I would try them out. The proprietors are very friendly and very accommodating. I had ribs with sweetened carrots and sweet potato as a side. The food is prepared fresh. They scraped the seasoning off of the ribs for me because I have stomach issues and can’t have spicy food. The portions are very generous, and the place is very clean. The prices are good. I definitely recommend this place and I’m planning to go back for future visits.
