The Crazy Cucumber

We only had salads but the were delicious. The atmosphere is very loud inside so not the best for a romantic evening, but they have nice outdoor seating. Our server was not that attentive and a little spaced out.

I am glad they had a vegan burger option, but it didnt taste like a burger. It was soft, perhaps not cooked until firm, and was served pretty plain. Wished for a bit more considering the price.

We have eaten here several times and have been pleased overall. The tomato bisque was fantastic, the salads are great, the stuffed shrimp were flavorful but small, the shrimp in the crazy shrimp bowl were also small and it was too sweet for our liking. Pet friendly on the patio.

My experience has been variable... Some good dishes and some so so ones. However, the reason for three stars and not four is the drink wait. Every single time I have been here, they do not get a second drink order during dinner. Without fail if I haven't finished my beer when the food comes out I will not get a chance to get another. If by some miracle I do finish it and order another when entrees come out, it does not arrive until its time to get the check. I frequent crazy with a cohort that shares my experience and the odd thing is that the bar is almost never busy when we're there, but for some reason, drinks are never offered or served timely.

This is a process problem and it can be fixed. Just train your bar and wait staff. Both the establishment and wait staff will make more money and your patrons won't be thirsty!

I really had to think about posting this as the restaurant has more positive attributes then negative. The food is incredible and always looks great. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Out of the approximately 15 to 20 times I have been at this restaurant I would say I have had to wait an extraordinary amount of time on 90% of the occasions. I guess at this point I have to assume the kitchen is the issue as it does not seem to be the front end staff. If you are not in a hurry and have nowhere to be or do not have any children under 10 this is probably the place for you. If you have somewhere to be or are trying to keep a schedule you might want to look elsewhere.
It’s a shame because that is really the only hold up but it seems to be a continuous issue. Hopefully this issue can be rectified as I really think it’s a great place to eat.
