One of the best experiences. Mgr came to table to entertain my 10 yr old as if he was the clown. Great food. Friendliest place ever.
Very nice Iron Skillet. Had a ribeye steak there yesterday and it was cooked extremely well! I was very surprised at how good a steak from the Skillet could be. I'll definitely have another one soon. And my server I believe her name was Kathryn, well she was top notch! Very good at her job, polite and friendly...very attentive to my needs.
Presentation is one of the most important things to attract and keep good customers, and it is what I look for. They have a good Breakfast Buffet. Due to their employee LaSasha. I must say that the Iron Skillet as the best presentation of a salad and fruit bar I've seen in a state of Florida so far, It makes you want to eat healthy, and is very attractive, That is mostly why I give it a five star. Plus the staff here is nice/friendly and keep the place clean. Weather your not that hungry, the restaurant's presentation itself will keep your eyes busy. Now if they could just add live FISH in the fish tanks that will do it.
The Iron Skillet is a large restaurant in a truck stop at exit 368 on Interstate 75 north of Ocala, Florida. The Iron Skillet serves a lot of good food at reasonable prices. Attached is a photo of my $8.99 French Toast combo that includes 2 eggs, and 2 sausage patties. It was a lot to eat! The Skillet also offers an extensive breakfast buffet for $10.99 that includes a chef station for omelettes. Note that coffee is an additional $2.79. I visited the Iron Skillet with 30+ other members of our motorcycle club. The Skillet provided a comfortable meeting room for us to dine in. 2 exclusive waitresses were assigned to our group. The manager stopped in to check on us. My only suggestion is that you may want to choose the buffet if you are with a group. Some of the menu meals came out a little slow which is to be expected when a large group arrives. Overall The Iron Skillet did a very good job of serving our motorcycle club's breakfast ride this morning.
LOVE this restaurant. They have a fabulous salad bar, everything is always fresh. Management routinely walks around and asks if everything is okay. Servers are attentive. Have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed.
