The Place Restaurant & Bar

We randomly chose The Place after spending a day at the beach. I read the reviews so I knew that the drinks were expensive. We still ordered the large $35 drink, which in Miami are fairly priced. The food was decent. The only complaints I had were that we ordered still water, which where we come from, means tap water. It came in a bottle, which isn't unusual to be refilled. But ended up being $8 each on the bill. At the end we asked for the check. Pedro ran the credit card and we added a 20% tip. Then we realized there was already a 20% service charge added to our total, so we asked Pedro to remove the additional 20% that we wrote on the slip. He began telling us that he doesn't get any of that service charge. That all goes to the owner. He asked us if we didn't like the service. We both knew that was B.S. so it took a couple of requests and a visit inside to have the extra tip removed. The service was good. But not 40% good.

Wonderful service, great drinks and food. There are many restaurants on the strip, however this restaurant sets itself apart with the awesome Manager , Kaja and the best bartender Rene Gonzalez. The waitress was on top of our drink and food, and was very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant in South Beach.

It was an amazing experience from start to finish! The food was amazing the staff was very courteous and friendly! The drinks are phenomenal, be careful cause they will talk you into the happy hour prices and they live to give free shots! Overall the experience and the food was worth the price! You receive discounts and soul satisfying seafood!!!! I would totally recommend this place hands down! Remember you pay for what you get! I paid well and received well! Request Miguel and Ishan as your waiters! Phenomenal!!!

First time dining here. And it was awesome. Happy hour deal was great. Especially steak was on point. Our server Gabriel was very nice, informative and friendly. Definitely gonna comeback.

Great location with a good view. Many luxury cars drive by for car lovers. Sat outside with some friends. Music is good but too many people bump your table and chairs. Food could be better and prices could be lower (I understand rent is very expensive for them but food prices are too high). Overall experience was great and I would recommend it.
