Shokudo By World Resources Cafe

An elegant dining experience! They had fresh truffles flown in the night I dined, so a few off hand dishes were offered. I'm glad I choose a pasta, as it was divine. Overall this is a lovely Restaurant, and the service was great and ambience was perfect. Still a lovely place to enjoy an evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for their exceptional service and food!

This restaurant is clearly one of the finest restaurants in the region. Always when I come to this place I am exceedingly glad. They always keep their very high level service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You no doubt will love this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Stepped into this beautiful restaurant for an early dinner. It was great from start to finish! Service was outstanding, drinks and food delicious as well. Everything plated beautiful and flavors were on point! Drinks were tasty and refreshing and the Ube dessert was awesome! Beautiful outside dining area in the back made for a perfect night. Highly recommend this to all!

SERVICE 4/5 UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS ONLY 1 SERVER AND IT WAS BUSY, SO SERVICE WAS POOR. WE ASKED FOR A DRINK REFILL TWICE NEVER GOT IT, BUT SHE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND APOLOGETIC.

ATMOSPHERE 4/5 FROM THE OUTSIDE IT DIDNT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE PLACE WAS I BUSINESS..DARK, NO LIGHTS, NO OPEN SIGN, BLINDS CLOSED...BUT INSIDE ITS VERY CLEAN & SPACIOUS.

FOOD OVERALL 3/5 PRICE WAS QUITE STEEP FOR THE PORTION.

SHIO RAMEN & TANTAN RAMEN BOTH 3/5 SHIO BROTH WAS V.LIGHT. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. PORK BELLY CUTS WERE SO THIN..SHOULD'VE ADDED MORE. THE TANTAN BROTH WAS NOT AS THICK AND CREAMY AS THE TRADITIONAL TANTANS ARE BUT IT WAS MORE SPICY, WHICH GAVE IT A NICE KICK. ALSO, BOTH RAMENS THEY ONLY GIVE YOU HALF AN EGG. ITS FULL HARD BOILED, NOT SOFT BOILED W.A JELLY YOLK. FOR THE PRICE ($20USD/BOWL) I EXPECTED MORE. THE RAMEN NOODLES ITSELF ARE ON THE THICKER SIDE, WAVY AND CHEWY.

SASHIMI & ROLL BENTO 4/5 WISH THE PORTION WAS MORE. IT WAS ALMOST KID SIZED. SASHIMI WAS OK, NOTHING STOOD OUT.

GYOZA & SASHIMI BENTO 3/5 ONLY 2 PCS OF GYOZAS, OVER COOKED & HARD, FILLING WAS V.DRY. THE PURPLE CABBAGE SLAW WAS ACTUALLY REALLY NICE. YOU CAN TASTE THE SESAME OIL (WHICH I DO LOVE).

I first posted pics of this lovely little Japanese spot about 2 years ago but didn't leave comments (I was review-shy). I usually pop in about every other month and was there about a week ago.
You know that thing that happens when your favorite spot loses some of it's shine? That hasn't happened at Shokudo!!!! It is still serving delicious bites and solid cocktails. The ambience is always chill when I go so I don't feel rushed but the service is always attentive. The menu changes some, so don't be surprised if, between visits, that dish you had before isn't there. No worries, Shokudo won't disappoint with another choice that would be just as delicious.
Kudos to management for keeping the level of quality food high and the environment relaxed. I'll definitely keep returning :-)
