People who regularly pass by are quite interesting and most nights you can end up talking to someone about almost anything, from musical instruments to postmodernist philosophy. The first Friday of every month is salsa night. They have many little recurring events such as open mic that keep people coming. Kava itself is an interesting drink, the after effects I've found are greater openness in conversation, calming effects, if you take too much you may find yourself as happy as alcohol might make you except without being drowsy or slow. Kava just makes me a bit happier and more talkative. Over all, this is a fun place to take good friends who want a nice night.”

The food prep staff seem to not really care about the presentation of the food. It was sloppy and looked a mess.”

“We came here for breakfast and the place was packed. Good sign! We sat outside to avoid a wait. Our server was very good and then we ordered quickly. Since being sat there was an available table and when the manager asked if we needed water I asked her if it was possible to sit inside. She didn't hesitate to assist with our request. The great service doesn't stop there. My friend spilled a drop of hot sauce on her shirt and the manager noticed and asked her if she wanted Seltzer water and helped. If I lived here I would come here for breakfast regularly for sure!”

“It is great this place has opened. Now the other two need to be remodeled. Staff is still learning but all are very nice. The one item the staff needs to keep an eye on is customer service at the counter. One person can do a good job bouncing across the registers to ring up customers. But when there is 15 people in line for 10 plus minutes the other employees need need to come help for a few minutes or the person behind the counter needs to call for assistance. I have been in there 10 times with about half the visits with one cashier behind the counter with a line of five or more customers while two or three employees are going around doing other tasks. At least they are doing something productive. Part of the slow up is the weighing of ice cream. Maybe they are still looking for employees. It's a shame that there are so many thieves that come in there that steal that the side doors have to be locked after 9 or 10pm. I am sure they will get on top of service. Need to make an example of some of the thieves walking out with fountain drinks, ice cream and just about everything else.”
