The Bent Prop Bar & Grill

I really want to just keep this great new place to myself, but that would not be fair! First, it was just done right from the outside to the inside and out onto the canal front deck! It’s beautiful, warm and inviting but with a Keys theme!! We were welcomed at the door and told to sit wherever we liked. Once we were seated The server then came directly to our table and took our drink order and told us the specials and asked if we had any questions. She was very friendly, welcoming and informative and most of all attentive. We are from Maryland and had heard the owners were to and were featuring a couple Maryland favorites like Cream of Crab soup. My husband got the soup and we all tasted it and it was amazing. We went for Sunday Brunch and everything was so good! I had the shrimp & grits, my husband had the hot honey chicken sandwich , our friends had the Cuban French toast and a Cuban Sandwich. Portions were just right and flavors were scrumptious! The French fries were really good too! The owners walk around and talk to the tables asking how everything was! Very friendly and informative about their restaurant and their plans! They also have a happy hour with a nice menu so we are looking forward to going back for happy hour and dinner!

Went in with high expectations after reading all of the exemplary reviews, and all of the superlatives given. We dined on a Sunday morning for brunch. Lauren, our server, was attentive and friendly.
We started off with the Buffalo Brussels. The crispy brussels sprouts with a house, hot sauce and blue cheese crumble did not disappoint.
We both ordered the roasted beet salad, one with chicken and one with fish. The chicken was to have been blackened.
Sadly, the beet salad with chicken was mediocre. The chicken was not blackened, and the heat from the chicken had melted the goat cheese medallion to a gooey mess.
The entire salad was warm, and something was missing, the beets!
If there were four beet quarters on my plate, I would have been happy, but there were not.
Perhaps we ordered wrong or caught them on a bad day.
I cannot recommend the roasted beet salad.
We will return next time we are down and try some other items on the menu. Perhaps we will avoid brunch.

Best restaurant on Cudjoe Key easily. The only place that I went back to twice during my visit. I ordered the Grouper Oscar the first time around and it was great. The appetizer of Calamari was crispy and the marinara gave it a great taste. The second time I had the Seared Scallops, and I wish that I had taken a picture! It was sooooo good. The best scallops I have ever had. The atmosphere and service were incredible as well. The reason I can only give 3 stars to service though is because they did mess some things up at times, but they always went above and beyond to fix the issue. The servers and the manager are great people who truly make you feel welcomed and right at home. This place is the best, and I will now eat here every time that I am down in the Keys.

Best restaurant in the lower keys, hands down. After a week of eating out for every meal, this is the only place I went to twice. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The bathrooms are the cleanest I have seen anywhere. The food was absolutely phenomenal. They had a game of the night and catch of the night both times we were there. It was an exciting change from all the same fish specials you see at every other restaurant. I had kangaroo fajitas, which I think should be on the menu full time they were so good. The cocktails were amazing, as well as the wine selection. The staff was so friendly it felt like everyone there was friends with every single customer in the building. All and all, if you drive through cudjoe Key and don't stop here. Check your GPS and turn around. You won't regret it.

A hidden gem located on Cudjoe Key, nestled between Marathon and Key West…a short, easy and worthwhile drive from either. The food is AMAZING and there’s something for everyone, including gluten free options. I had the snapper that was locally caught that morning and it was in the BEST I’ve had! Everything from the appetizers to the desserts (please ship the Key Lime Bread Pudding🙏🏼) are expertly prepared. The service is friendly and welcoming and you can’t beat that million dollar view from the patio. 10/10 Recommend!!!
