Dewey Destin's Harborside

This location has convenient parking and a great view of the harbor. You can dine inside or on the covered patio. We were here a couple of years ago, and just remember a better overall experience then. For the most part, the food was really good. We came because my husband wanted Royal Reds, and no other restaurant was offering them. There were several different options, to order how he wanted them cooked. They were served steaming hot, with corn and potatoes. Very, very good. We were both served complementary slaw with our entrees. Our server was nice and friendly. I was turned off by some dirty walls that badly needed a fresh coat of paint.

We arrived around 4:30 and were greeted by a not so enthusiastic hostess. Our waitress was friendly, but seemed to have all of the tables due to it being before 5:00. We ordered the Red Fish, the stuffed shrimp, and a kids chicken tenders. The food was good but wasn’t anything that blew you away. I think next time we will go to their original location to get the better atmosphere.

Let me be clear, the food was enjoyable but was very basic.

On the Harbor. Able to watch the multitude of boats come and go...watch water taxi drop off and pick up people. Great views. Fantastic service. Outstanding meals. We had seafood, red snapper. 😋

Long, long long wait. Prices were decent. Good selection of menu items. With such a long wait time I opted for either in or out door dining. Bad mistake. Every table almost in outdoor deck had setting for 6. It almost made it feel like a can of sardines! That kind of uniformity. While we were placed next to the window, no fans were near us and we were sweating until it finally got dark. There was no breeze. I recommend opting for indoor at Dewey's. Our server was terrific! She was upbeat, happy and seemed to like helping others. She made our meal ordering simple with the 6 of us. My shrimp and oysters were to die for. The batter is delicious.

Food was excellent I ate fish I never eat fish and I loved it
