Ali's Bistro

Awesome food, wonderful waitress! The young lady from Ukraine waited on us. Love her accent, friendliness and her help, as I was torn between pizza or lasagna. The lasagna was amazing! My husband had the lobster ravioli and he loved it. The blueberry cheesecake was good, but the chocolate mousse cake was outstanding!

When they say the bread and oil is a must try, they are not exaggerating. The garlic infused oil and fresh bread are a delicious start to the fine culinary experience that is Ali’s Bistro. Their food and cocktails have yet to disappoint, and their staff are always friendly and knowledgeable of the food and menu. Happy hour from 3-6 is my favorite time to visit, because I am able to experience this amazing restaurant’s food and drinks at an even lower price. I usually sit in the bar area where the gifted bartender, Nicole, is always attentive and quickly serves us up with hot delicious food and creative cocktails. If you haven’t bequeathed yourself with the phenomenon that is Ali’s Bistro, stop neglecting yourself and treat yourself to the best that Fort Walton Beach has to offer.

I have mixed emotions about Ali's. I've only been once and wouldn't necessarily say I was disappointed, but for the price, I wasn't blown away either. In this price range I would start to expect a freshly made pasta or two on the menu which I'm fairly confident is not the case.

I'd try it again and get something different, although our order was shared amongst 3 families so we did try quite a few things. I would definitely not bother with pizza.

EDIT: I appreciate the passion and always welcome responses from business owners (being a restaurant owner myself). I stand by the 4 star review and will remove the frozen comment. I enjoyed the food, but the pizza crust reminded me of a large Carr's Table Water Cracker. If proofed, it was definitely under proved. If non-proofed, I'd bump up the salt or maybe add a little olive oil.

Cozy restaurant with a very welcoming ambiance. Ali, the owner is a gem and his staff is simply wonderful. If you're looking for an enjoyable evening out with friends and a delicious, fresh, satisfying meal.... this is the place.

Update:

We were regulars for years, but stopped going as none of the servers, staff or owners understand what a mask is, and tables were totally packed together. Sorry, but good food and service is not worth risking my life over. I asked one of the owners the last time about it and she told me directly that they were not going to turn away customers for not wearing masks or social distancing the tables.

So there you have it....

A super menu, great staff and a friendly, warm and welcoming persona make this one of our usual places to have lunch or dinner. The owners are usually on-site as well, making sure everyone that walks in the door is greeted and promptly welcomed. The daily soups and specials are always sure to delight, and they also cater. We HIGHLY recommend Ali's Bistro!
