So glad I didn’t pay attention to some of the most recent reviews about the chips and salsa. They were some of the best I’ve had. The chips were hot, crisp and delicious!! As for the salsa, very fresh and if you add just a little salt it brings the flavor to life. (Some folks don’t like salt so it’s easier to leave it out of something when it’s being served and then let the patron add their own.) I had the Baja tacos and they were AMAZING!!! My hubby had the cheeseburger tacos and he loved them!! This is our first night in town, so we will definitely be back!!
We stopped for a lunch while we were in Fort Walton. Everything was good. Main reason we stopped was to eat with a beatiful view and that didn't disappoint. Loved that they serve chips and salsa when we were seated! I didn't love my chicken enchilada, it seemed a little dry and overcooked. Everything else seemed to be a hit. The hubby loved his fajitas! The big 32oz riptide Margarita was just okay - def had better margaritas. Loved that they had fun little bendy sticks for the kids to play with while waiting.
The food was awesome! Had the beef fajitas 😍 4 stars for sure...the 5th star comes from our server. Guys, Aubrey KILLED the service. She went above and beyond the call. She was attentive to our table. Checked up on us at ever chance she had. Also, very personable, made it feel more comfortable and relaxed. Really someone who should be training rookies how to do it right.
Let me say, they were on their game tonight! We put our name on most of the waiting lists on the boardwalk as they were all quoting near an hour. This place was the first to seat us(25 minute wait, sat at 830 Sunday night). The hostess was helping run chips/seat guests/turn tables, the waitress(Kira) was with us promptly. Chips/salsa was quick, appetizer was quick. Normally at a place like this on the beach at sunset/dinner hours the bar runs a little slow, I was surprised when our Rita’s came without delay! Food was great, we had the lobster tacos and the rock-in shrimp tacos. For only 2 tacos I was skeptical, but it definitely filled me up! For a busy night the waitress was able to check in multiple times! It seemed like the staff was working well as team, keep up the great work!
Great service, despite being packed. Also, if the prices scare you, don't worry. They give you more food than you can eat. They have so many leftovers that gulls and pigeons have decided to live here. So much delicious food. The salsa is smokey and good. And isn't overly reliant on cilantro to cover the freshness of the ingredients. Also, my girlfriend vouches for the cute little drink buckets.
