Bem Bom on Corrine

Jerk chicken best I had in central Fl, it was actually hot/spicy. French fries really crispy. Double fried maybe. Server was polite and attentive. Small space. If service and food as good as this visit, I will rescore to 5/5.

Oh my....I need to go to Portugal now. Brunch with mimosas sitting in the warm sun at a window facing the bar...perfect! I ordered the Pancake Taco, and fearing that it was just an appetizer and wouldn't sate my hunger, I also got what I thought was a smallish omelet. Fail! I had so much food that some had to come home with me. The portions are large enough that one or the other would have filled my tummy. Don't hesitate...go, go, go!!! P.S., did I mention the coffee? Smooooth. Luscious.

This place is absolutely magical. If I lived closer, I'd go for brunch every Sunday and not leave until closing time. The staff are the nicest people, the ambiance is perfect and the food is made with love. We've been searching for Nata (egg tarts) since our visit to Portugal over a year ago. This is one of very few places to find them in Florida (I've checked other states as well!) These are 100% legit the real thing. It was worth the hour drive in the opposite direction to where I was going to find them! I'll be coming back soon to try everything else on the menu. What a gem of a restaurant!

The food here is exquisite (as to be expected)! Even better than their food truck. The Rock Shrimp tacos and Bomb fries have a spicy kicl (without lingering heat) and the dessert Nata (custard) was the perfect consistency and not to sweet. Can't wait to come back!

Bem Bom is the perfect neighborhood eatery. We're lucky enough to have Chef Chico plating up authentic Portuguese food with a twist right on the ever-evolving Audubon Garden District's main corridor of Corrine Drive. Make sure to ask if they have any duck tacos in the back, and start off with the chicken nachos. You will thank me.
