Gilson Brazillian Food -New Adress

This place has PLENTY of parking, it is located at this gigantic mall area and the restaurant itself is pretty large.

Coming in I noticed that this probably is a former show house like a concerts hall, and possibly still may host events but I am not sure of what kind.

They have a huge sitting area, the place is seriously enormous. They have some moments on the way kind of preserving the history of the place, as well as some moments from the owner I assume, showing his vast reach into the celebrities of the Brazilian kind.

As we came in there was plenty of sitting we got sit and proceeded to get some food.
What I love the most about buffet style dining is that there is no waiting for food, I can come in staving and get something in my stomach within minutes. I love it.

We got our first plate and funny enough as we came back to our table there was another couple sitting on it, I assume because the place is so big the hostess do not communicate that the table was taken and another hostess sat someone there. that was not a big deal we had plenty to sit on, just a bit weird though.

THIS PLACE IS A PREFECT EXAMPLE THAT QUANTITY IS NOT IMPORTANT BUT QUALITY IS WHAT MATTERS.

There was a vast amount of options, lots of protein choices as well as salads and sides, there was a lot of food for sure. however I did not particularly was impressed by any of the food.

I had a COCONUT caipirinha and that also was very underwhelming.

The deserts were mini and I am glad they were cause even the desserts were mediocre. I was really sad to see one thing that was very bothersome to me.

THEY had a dessert mini listed as BRIGADEIRO and that dessert is usually made of condensed milk and coco powder and it is thick creamy and a very bold tasting of chocolate, it is a very common party dessert specially in birthday parties in Brazil. it bugs me that what they labeled as BRIGADEIRO tasted and looked like CHOCOLATE MOUSSE, and this is very serious to me cause the taste is not only to the same but mousse can be purchased by the box for very cheap at any market or any vendor. that goes to show that they were not only not serving an item that they say they were but they are also being grossely cheap about their food.

After noticing this about the dessert it made me wonder where else they are cutting corners on, it really worried me for a bit.

At that moment it completely made sense to me why to me their food was not very good.

If you would like to eat there when you visit town, by all means go, it is indeed a good deal for cheap meal, but remember that here you will definitely get what you paid for.

We came Early around 5pm. The food looked a bit sad, like it was put in the buffet some time before????. Great wine and good priced. The steak tasted great. The waiter was very friendly.
While we were eating, there were Sound testing on the stage, It was very loud and disturbed our dinner very much.
