Pretty cool place to hang out with friends and grab some drinks and something to eat.
However, even though the food was decent, I wouldn’t say that it’s memorable Mexican food.
The all-you-can-eat Tacos sounds good but, you have to order two of the same each time so, it’s like a bait deal. We still managed to order all the included tacos and, although some were very tasty, the tortilla was average and the filling ratio in some was disappointing.
The Guacamole with chips was good but, now it’s pretty common to find similar offerings in other restaurants.
The drinks were nice, I actually enjoyed the Black Diamond Margarita more than I expected.
The ambiance was lively but, a little hectic even during COVID-19 and, the service, although friendly, definitely suffered from that.
The steaming bowl dish was delicious.. substituted the sausage & chicken for double steak & shrimp.. the pot keep the food bubbling hot the entire time.. well seasoned and the guacamole & Pico was on point.. love this spot!! Ordered one margaritas and I was feeling nice from the first sip..
I visited Rocco's Tacos for my sister in law's birthday dinner, and since I hadn't been before I wasn't sure what to expect.
Upon arriving for the reservation, we were told they couldn't seat us unless the whole party of 10 was there. We ended up waiting outside for the rest of the group.
Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and drinks, and the wait staff was very accommodating and offered to hold the 2 cakes we brought.
Once we finished our dinner, they brought the cakes out and sang happy birthday with us which was unexpected but very nice.
There wasn't any social distancing in place during our visit which did make me uncomfortable, but the employees were all wearing masks which is more than I can say for some other Central Florida restaurants.
Rocco's Tacos is a unique Mexican restaurant, and we ended up having a great time. Once the pandemic is more under control, I'd like to visit again.
It may be expensive, but you do get what you pay for. They were some of the best tacos I've ever had. Plus you have to get the guacamole with chips. I had the chorizo taco, shrimp taco, and steak taco. They were very tasty and fresh. The waitress was top notch and was on top of things. The only thing is if you want lakeside seating, you have to reserve your seats out on the deck. We'll know that for next time. We'll be back.
