Uncle Julio's Mexican From Scratch

Really good food and friendly staff, just wish they had a lunch menu. We could only finish half of our food when we stopped in for lunch the other day.

I wouldn't recommend the margaritas here, they bring it to you in a double shot glass for the same price that all the other bars in ICON Park give it to you in a fish bowl glass.

Also, if you ask the waiter if something comes with your meal, like beans and rice, and he says "I'll take care of it for you", it just means that he ordered you extra sides and your bill will reflect the extra charges.

I would eat here again for dinner.

Great casual atmosphere for fairly reasonable prices. I love Mexican food and the quality of ingredients they use is excellent, however they seem to be trying too hard for my tastes. The salsa was bland and some prices were a little high but not unreasonable. The margarita was great and because they were on sale it was a good value.
The wait staff was attentive and flexible which I appreciate. Overall I would go back but just not a must.

I took my husband out on a date tonight at Uncle Julio's. The food was good but the service was a bit off. I think our server was either new or not paying attention. When we were eating we told her we intended to order a chocolate pinata when we were done and she asked if we wanted anything written on it. We explained what we wanted written on it and stated we would order it after dinner. She brought one to our table before we said we were ready. It had no writing on it. We wanted the one with pineapple but this one was the more expensive one since she never asked which one we wanted. We had already broke it open before we realized it was the wrong one. At the end I kept having to ask for a second and third to go box as she only brought one at a time instead of assessing the need. While I was still eating she took my drink from the table that was still full. After eating the rich dessert, I left there incredibly thirsty. Next time I go back I do not want to have this server again!

Great atmosphere. Weather was perfect so we enjoyed eating outside. Our server was very helpful and checked on us many times. We ordered the chicken and beef flautas and it was okay but I would probably not order it again. We told the server it was our first time there when she asked us. I don’t know if she told her manager or if he was just making rounds but he also checked in on use three times. I loved the credit card reader they brought to the table for the bill. Every restaurant should have this. We had a very enjoyable evening dining there.

The hostess seemed a little upset with our group when we came in at 10:20 and told us that they close at 11:00 even though google said that it was 11:30 closing.

Our server was extremely nice and we had great table service. The chips are thin, which I had never had before, and the salsa tastes very fresh.

Menu is a bit pricey for what it is, but the food is extremely good and comes out of the kitchen both quick and hot.
