Old Hickory Steakhouse

Given the location and the cost, we had high Hope's of having a wonderful and memorable dinner for a birthday celebration. Our party of four was seated at a table for eight, making dinner conversation difficult. We requested to be moved to a smaller table. We were promptly greeted by our waiter and drinks were ordered. It took about 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. We decided to skip the Appetizers and ordered directly from the menu. It took about 20 minutes for salads and soups to arrive and another 45 minutes to receive our dinner entree. After receiving our meals, our waiter did not stop by the table until We had all finished eating. To be fair, once the meals arrived they were prepared very well and Delicious. Portion size was ideal. In all, almost a three hour meal. Bottom line: good food but the poor service made our birthday celebration less eventful.

Best steak I’ve had in a while, dessert was amazing, and Kain our waiter was the best, he was very informative and just an overall wonderful waiter.

Best place in Gaylord!! The lobster bisque is extremely creamy delicious! Ask for Anthony @ the bar or server and you will be in great hands! I have went two nights back to back ...... splendid each time! Wish I were here for another dining experience this week????

The food could have been better, our tomahawk pork chop was cooked as we ordered it, the sides could use improvement on execution (mac & mushroom).
We sat at the bar, our bartender Anthony was incredible and made our experience. Professional, hospitable, personable, and knew what we wanted before we asked for it. An insightful professional who makes your night an experience and memorable to tell and recommend to friends. Great job.
Once again food could be improved but service impeccable.

We've been to Gaylord palms several times but first time at Old Hickory. Recommend making a reservation but if you don't they have open tables at the bar area. Good selection of steaks and other entrees. We had the porterhouse steal, the salmon and the pork. The meat have good sized servings but the salmon I think is a bit small for the price. No sides come with the dishes so you have to order them separately. Prices are a bit of expensive side. Staff are nice and friendly.
