I sure have missed my Grandma’s corned beef and pastrami for the last couple years now, but thanks to Uncle Pinkie’s I am able to relive some of good ole time NJ glory days in her kitchen. While no one’s will ever top hers of course, we have a here a close running indeed. The simplicity and beauty of these fantastically cured and cooked meats create a timeless mouth watering memory that never fades. Sandwiched between two pieces of supple yet airy rye with a crust that isn’t your tough and chewy norm, I was left wanting more. While the $15 price point gets me a bit farklempt, it’s certainly worth the visit.
Great sandwich. It's 15 bucks, but enough for 2. No fake deli here. The cold slaw is the best I've had. The pastrami is the real deal. Down town Boca, parking around back. Outdoor and indoor seating.
The pastrami sandwich is to die for delicious! This is coming from a New Yorker! And when we walk in, they act like they're as happy to see us as we are to see the DELICIOUS potato latkes and truffle knishes. They also have black cherry soda! :-)
Love Uncle Pinkies! I've had about 5 different items from their menu and I've loved every single one of them, but the Jilly has to be my all time favorite! Great decor, love all the family pictures on the wall and the friendly & attentive staff just makes this place one of my new favorite breakfast spots. Definitely recommend to anyone in the are if you're looking for some great Jewish food.
Pastrami sandwich was delicious. Nice thick pieces. Tasted very fresh. Love the coleslaw too...more of a vinegar focus instead of mayo. Latkes were excellent. Noodle kugel was not as good as grandmas. Will be back
