Gill Dawg

This is a very nice place. Very casual and laid back. It has covered out door seating. It is dog friendly, and even has a dog menu. I had the grouper sandwich. I eat ketogenically so they gave me a very nice sized salad in place of the bun and fries. The fillet was very generous and cooked perfectly. The restaurant sits on the Pithlachascotee river. I think I will try the you hook it we cook it charter for my next visit. Over all this was a very pleasant dining experience. The only reason this isn't a five star review is the fact the food was slow to come out from the kitchen. Our waitress, Brooke, was very friendly and experienced. The slow arrival of the food was the fault of the kitchen and not her. Check Gill Dawg out if you are in the area.

We have been there twice, the food and service is good. The last time there was for a Johnny Cash tribute band. Large outdoor event. The only negative thing I can say is no matter where you sit in the restaurant or outside you will smell cigarette smoke. In nice weather the walls are up so it is considered outside and per Florida Law customers are allowed to smoke. There is no smoking area provided. I think it would make for a better atmosphere if smoking patrons where seated together outside and downwind whenever possible.

Wow! How FUN! Just happened upon this one day while out with my family! It is CUTE! Great Florida Vibe! Music, drinks, ambiance, super cool!! I can not wait to make an excuse to go again.
