Nice neighborhood cafe, but it can get busy... first come first served, so maybe call first on busy hours..great prices for a beach restaurant and the fare was tasty. Be nice to the waitresses if you want good service! Just kidding, great service... give em a try! Nice view from the back outdoor seats.
Yum! Huge portions at a great price. When we arrived there was a long list of people waiting ahead of us but we were sat surprisingly quickly. The best part though? The awesome view! We will definitely be coming back.
We went here for breakfast sometime ago and have wanted to go back ever since, well that’s what we did. We went for breakfast and the waitress brought us to a table outside, there were many birds pecking at leftover food that hadn’t been bused and some even started fighting, the staff eventually scared them off though. Our drinks orders were taken fast and then they were also brought to us fast. They were pretty good. We ordered food and only waited a little while, and our food came. Boy was that good. Especially the tea biscuits. Everyone loved their food and we will return.
Tiny place with good food and great service! There was indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered corned beef hash and pancakes and were very pleased. Our server was very friendly and attentive. It appeared that both vacationers and locals were there.
We visited here a couple of times, with mixed results.
Our first time was wonderful: the food was great, the staff friendly, and the whole restaurant seemed a fun, happy place. The variety of old Americana on the walls and in the booths hinted at the playful nature of the diner, and the patronage was a mix of tourists and locals, which is always a positive sign. We even saw some dolphins playing in the bay from the dock as we left.
Our second visit was somehow a lesser experience. The servers seemed disinterested; I had to request cutlery twice, even after my food had arrived. The food was well prepared but didn't 'pop' in the way it had the first time. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the experience we had first time, which was worthy of five stars.
Between the two visits it averages four stars, but I guess it depends on what day you go.
