Hot Tuna Sushi Bar and Grille

I chose to go the night before Valentine's Day in order to beat the rush of crazed people going out on the actual night of the Hallmark day. There was a small wait, but nothing intolerable. The food was good, however, the service was really odd. We started with an appetizer and it happened to be 30 minutes prior "1/2 off $$ appetizer hour" and the waiter made us feel quite awkward as he proceeded to attempt to convince us to wait to place the order for the discount. No way were we going to wait 30 minutes to eat. His tone was extremely odd and made us feel uncomfortable for wanting our appetizer. The dinner is complete, and when the waiter takes my debit card to pay to bill and then exclaims that it may take a while to get back us with our card. Weird, just weird.

Very nice place to have sushi and more. ???? We had been there many times, it's one of our favorite sushi place. Stuffed mushrooms appetizers are very tasty. We had volcano roll, Tampa roll n gator roll.. Our all time favorite sushi roll is volcano roll.. Very delicious. Would love to go again..must go and try stuffed mushroom and volcano sushi roll at this place..

Great sushi and ambiance. They keep it very dim in the restaurant. The service was excellent even though it was very busy. Highly recommended! I will be back, often.

5 star sushi, 5 star service by Kay x. Constantly. She has been serving us for years. This place blows away 99% of sushi places on the west coast of FL, and in Tampa. Prices are very honest and reasonable. We only order the extravagant rolls, lettuce wraps, and shrimp cocktail every time. 100% recommend this restaraunt if your looking for awesome sushi. Happy hour after 8pm is excellent. Service is superb and should be acknowledged by management for such consistency over the past 5-10 years.

This is one of the better sushi places in the area. The sushi is usually very fresh, with a great menu. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside is actually very cozy and relaxing. Friendly servers. Great choice for dinner.
