Gateway To India

I loved this restaurant for it's flavorful delicacies. The peshawari naan with the mint cilantro and tamarind dipping sauces was fantastic. I was in the mood for curry so I had the Lamb Korma medium spices, it's delicious. Then for dessert a warm cottage cheese balls with a cardamom honey syrup reminds of fresh donuts. I'm looking forward to coming back to try lots of other things on the menu. It's a wonderful place for family and friends to visit.

Excellent food! Was nervous coming as I had not heard anything other than the reviews. Lamb Madra was phenomenal. Large pieces of slow cooked lamb and sauce was good.. tasted like coconut a little, so good.
My wife did a veggie dumpling dish with a cashew sauce. She loved hers as well.
I read one review that the portions were small, and I thought that at first, but was full after barely making a dent in the plate. Stuffed now because I couldn't stop eating ????

If you want excellent Indian food time and time again the best I have found in Tampa/ St Pete area is Gateway to India!
Husband and wife run operation with excellent support from long standing staff members.
Butter chicken and Godfather beer what more do you need try it you will not be disappointed!!

Very friendly service. The lunch buffet offers an acceptable variety of meat and vegetarian options, as well as two different sorts of rice. The salad and dessert bar though is pretty simple offering only one sort of salad and one dessert. However, who is visiting an Indian restaurant mainly for their salads and desserts? ????
When it comes to the questions whether I would go there again and/or whether I would recommend this restaurant I can definitely say yes.

Food and service was awesome! The staff were not only very knowledgeable about gluten free options (lots!), but they were also very willing to explain the menu and different flavors, and helped me find the perfect meal. Great experience! We'll definitely be back!
