Nueva Cantina - St. Pete

Every time I go to Nueva Cantina, I have a wonderful dining experience. Between the great and friendly service to the fun ambiance and most importantly, the delicious food, it's a guaranteed good time. Weekly specials make it worth visiting on different nights of the week. The front parking lot is on the smaller side but there's a huge lot right behind the restaurant.

I am glad I finally stopped in. Got off a job nearby in time for Happy hour. I had a CHOICE meal that my bartender/server recommended as well as a delicious margarita he whipped up to wash it down. Excellent service and food. Oli even purchased some damn good hot sauce they make. I look forward to going back.

YES, this is the Mexican restaurant where I had lunch today with the Margarita glass painted on the fence & big mural on the building, it was the BEST. QUIET atmosphere & PLENTY of customers. Loved the music, Foreigner & Eagles, Don Henley, Tom Petty...... Very upbeat!
Absolutely prompt & accurate waiters/waitresses. Gave plenty of time for us to talk, yet brought us everything we needed or asked for right away. Meals & drinks were DELICIOUS & top shelf margaritas!!! Mmmmm.
Nice outdoor seating but we Asked for an inside corner & got it. Medium priced but excellent $5 margaritas!!! Almost felt like they knew us!! I must recommend it and I can get particular with eating. Wonderful place!!!

Awesome place! Been there a couple times and definitely plan to return many times. As far as Mexican food goes in St. Pete, it's amongst my favorites. Great ambiance, a variety of daily specials, yummy margaritas, delicious food, and wonderful service. Taz said he was going to take great care of us as he greeted the table, and he did!
