“My favorite things to get are the gyros and the shrimp skewers. But they have a good variety on their menu from seafood to burgers. Everything I have tried on the menu has been good. It's a little pricier than a typical fast food restaurant but for the quality and the hefty portions it is totally worth it. I can usually get 2 meals out of my gyro. This is definitely a place to try.”

“My husband and I just tried Heavy’s for the first time and loved it! They come to our apartment complex and my husband and I decided to give them a try and have an impromptu date night. BBQ was incredible. Mac and cheese was great and the baked beans were good (on the sweeter side just an FYI). We ordered the BBQ sampler and it was plenty of food for the two of us!! We will definitely give them business in the future.”

“We went for an early morning breakfast and despite the crowd we were immediately seated. Because of the cool weather we chose outside seating which is also open for people with pets. Service was prompt, huge portion sizes and the food was delicious. You should definite try their fresh juices as well. With regard to parking the designated area is small, so you may have to opt for street parking. The community is quiet though and you will enjoy taking a stroll to admire the fruit trees and unique homes.”

“I must preface that I only come in for the cafe if I'm working in the area so my review is solely for the food. That being said, I'm never disappointed. The staff work hard and fast in that kitchen to get orders out in a timely manner. Always nice when I have questions. Last time I was there I got an almond lovers smoothie and it was great. Not overly sweet and packed with sugars like other places. And I really like the paper straws used now to save marine life. Shows they care. We don't need all the single use plastics. The soup is fresh and yummy every time I've had some too. Today I'll be trying the burger for lunch and I'm sure it'll be great. Keep doing what y'all do. If I lived near one of these stores, I'd frequent more often. **Update** today's (Monday) burger special was one of the most delicious grass fed burgers I've ever had.”

“Me and my boyfriend went on date night. I liked the atmosphere and the pork belly was so good. It's hard to find places with pork belly, I was happy to find a restaurant with pork belly. “Ordered tuna - tuna tasted good but it was a skimpy portion. I also told the cashier i didn't want mayo on the sandwich but she was either ignoring me or didn't want to be bothered. Really dislike spread mayo on a sandwich so i leaned over the counter to make sure the sandwich maker didn't put mayo on the sub. After i opened the paper and saw the sloppy put together sandwich and how little tuna there was i said i probably would not go back.”

The menu is easy enough to remove items that may not be something you can enjoy, but boy, do they ever get you on the substitutions. My vegetarian friend asked to have the bacon and ham removed from his meal and requested tomato instead. They wanted four bucks for that substitution. 4. Dollars. For a couple of slices of tomato. I'd recommend you go the grocery store, get what you might want to substitute, bring your own knife for slicing, and you will be far better off. Other than the crazy prices for substitutions, the food is good, the staff is great and friendly, and the straight menu prices aren't bad for the toney area.”
