Relaxed, easy going feel. Alot of regulars and action is alittle slow on the lower limit games. Several table games including 3 card poker, Texas holdem, high card flush, and satellite betting on races. Open 24 hours on the weekends. They run a few tourneys during the day and evening. Overall, a nice, comfortable place to play cards. Service is OK and they offer food and drinks. Dealers know their business. Promotions are OK to great depending on the time of month. Easily found on their website.
Good place to play poker and bet on other thing's. Great place to just hang out
I have never been here despite living in the area my entire life. Went with some friends tonight and had a blast.
They do a great job of social distancing everyone there to watch the dogs, not so much in the card room though.
They have some food and drinks but it was nice to just be able to hang out, place some bets, and watch the dogs run.
Just another dog track
It is simply amazing to watch these beautiful hounds run. Poetry in motion !!
As this historic place nears it's end as a Greyhound Track, it seems like a sad shell of what it once was in it's heyday. I could only imagine what it would have been like in the days when Babe Ruth and Micky Mantle came to the track. A bygone era, soon to be completely erased.
It was very enjoyable and interesting to spend time there today. I suggest that if you ever wanted to see Greyhounds run, you make plans and go asap.
I am not a gambler so the poker etc was not a draw to me. However, watching people play poker is quite interesting. If you enjoy people watching, it's not a bad place to be....
I wish all the people who work there with the dogs the best of luck. I am sorry that you have lost your "jobs". I know caring for the dog's is far more than just a job to you.
Best wishes.
