The Urban Stillhouse

Finally got to try this place tonight!
I’m a huge bourbon drinker so getting to try a flight of Horse Soldier Bourbon was heaven! Small Batch was my favorite, sadly it was the only one they didn’t have to purchase. Wife had a martini and loved it.
Let’s be honest, you’re gonna spend some money visiting here. We knew that going in and I can safely say that I don’t feel like I was cheated a single cent.
Our waiter, Brad, was one of the best servers I have ever had and handled a rather annoying customer at the table next to us with more grace than I would have.
The food was outstanding! We started out with the bridal sprout starter, I could have easy eaten that as an entree and been happy. I had the lamb my wife had the pork chops. Periodically swapping fork-fulls with each other.
The restaurant itself of beautiful. A very open yet homey feeling.
I will say that if you are trying to social distance sitting inside might not be an option for you. They do have outside seating that looked nice as well.
Overall, I would definitely make this a must visit for St Pete! A great place for a birthday or anniversary dinner!

Pretty cool warehouse vibe, wide open, however that makes for a lot of noise so a little hard to hear our conversation. Food was good, prices entrees seem to average $30 or more. Good service. Complimentary valet parking. Fire pit on outside deck looked nice but we were inside. Big fireplace, nice Christmas decorations. Bar seats close together so did not seem like any social distancing going on. The chairs are backless so they are sharp looking but not comfortable for everyone. I would recommend trying this place out.

The good: The aesthetics in this place are amazing! What a beautiful space! They did an excellent job decorating and arranging the large space they have. Great atmosphere and wonderful place to have a get together with a large group of family members or friends.

The unfortunate: The food was mediocre. For food that costs that much, I was expecting better. My chicken & waffles tasted dry and lacked flavor. For $22 chicken & waffles, I was expecting either a ton of food or something spectacular. It was neither of those things.

Our waiter seemed tired and checked out. I wish he was more enthusiastic. Our friend who frequents this establishment and invited us for brunch was suprised by our waiter's behavior. She swears that our waiter was not a true representation of The Urban Stillhouse staff.

Personally, I felt the food didn't represent the price. I felt as though I was paying for ambiance. I would go back for drinks but I'll pass on the food.

They have done a fantastic job creating a unique craft cocktail and dining experience. The bartenders Scott and Angie were amazing. They had a great balance of different cocktails at reasonable prices. I will definitely be going back! If you go during brunch on Sundays, try the crab deviled eggs!

Initially stumbled across this spot on Instagram and was hyped before even arriving...Urban Stillhouse went above & beyond the social media build-up. Drinks were fantastic. I don't typically enjoy dark liquor, but the old fashioned that my husband ordered was the best I had ever tasted - so good I could've enjoyed one on my own. Food was just as good, and the service was friendly and attentiv.. Attention to detail was not overlooked in any way. Highly recommend this spot for a date night.
