Uptown Eats

First time at Uptown Eats. We loved the old Banyan Cafe so having another gem pop up in the same location is awesome. We’ve known the owner, not personally but through his pastries, for a long time, so we figured this would be a score. Uptown Express Sandwich’s got a big thumbs up from the kids, both of which can be fairly critical of a breakfast sandwich. Green Little Things bowl was delicious with crumbed bacon, although for me I would have liked a larger serving. My wife had the gravy and biscuit. Apparently they only have the gravy on the weekend so she went for it. You pick you liking of biscuit (she chose a sausage something or other), and then it good ole comfort foodin from there. I’m not a big fan of biscuits and gravy but both the biscuit and gravy alone were really good, so I’ll take my wife’s word foe it that the combo together were delicious as well. Will certainly be returning here soon.

Took over from Banyan and just opened recently. Even it is new, the business in the weekend morning hours are busy. The coffee is up to par as comparing to other coffee shop, and the bakery items are limited but the scone is great, it is soft and chew rather than dry. The bow is also nice with fresh ingredient.

OUTSTANDING! gorgeous space, excellent food, wonderful people. My husband and I tried Uptown Eats for the first time and wow! ...we will be returning. Breakfast only, with a small menu, each item beautifully crafted. Who needs a huge menu when the items they have explode with flavor? The Breakfast Sandwich (with everything!) was amazing. Greens, cheese, bacon (quality!), egg special sauce and more.... so many flavors in a simple sandwich. Coffee great, they say it is a medium roast, but it is one that is bold and tasty. Nestled next to MIZE Gallery (another MUST SEE) Urban Eats is a great addition to our neighborhood!

I’m so excited Uptown Eats opened! The location is great with plenty of outdoor seating. My oat milk latte and baked oatmeal were amazing. I was happy to see a vegan option. Everyone I was with love their food. We will definitely be back.

WOW! St. Pete you're on notice! An absolutely terrific breakfast and lunch spot in St. Pete. Dan the owner/chef is absolutely amazing. Everything he makes is made with high quality and it's f'ing delicious! He has both sweet and savory. Since everything is good, I would suggest trying everything, you're not going to be dissapointed. This is a place that could exist in NYC or Portland. It's that good. Now throw in that the staff are friendly and welcoming, the space is gorgeous and the outside seating is beautiful, and you have a total winner. A most welcome addition to St. Pete!
