The BBQ meats are just what my belly ordered but I was very disappointed with the sides. Slaw has a nice base but could really use some flavor. Be forewarned, there is no cornbread! Putting it mildly, this place could really use a makeover.
It's probably best to get a table outside on a nice day then to be stuck inside.
Amazing BBQ. The only downside to this establishment is the limited days of operations. Looks like only open Friday and Saturday. If you can get here on Friday or Saturday it's well worth the stop.
The best brisket I have put in my mouth in 25 years. I am retired here to Florida from Kansas. I traveled from Mexico to Canada throughout the Midwest 35 year and have eaten BBQ everywhere I went. I have eaten BBQ up and down the east coast too. Each region has its own twist but KC BBQ has always been my favorite. I have eaten at both legends, Gates and Bryant's, in KC and their beef brisket was not as good as this. I also had ribs and collard greens and loved both. I will be going back here often. I love the place and it is true KC style BBQ.
Another great find in the Tarpon Springs area. Just off the sponge socks for the most part.
Prices were right in the ballpark of similar places. Small dining area but not crowded by any means.
Had ribs and brisket with a side of beans and Mac and Cheese.
Food was top notch and the sauces were excellent. Service seemed a little scattered but tolerable. :)
It almost looked closed when we got there and the entrance was somewhat hidden as we parked in the back and had to figure out which way to go to even find it. Not something that would keep me away at all though.
I would definitely come back and try a few more items on the menu.
Make the trip...it is worth it in my book.
