Auburndale Main Street Diner

Ate here on a recommendation of a friend and the food was cooked fast accurate and delicious. The staff were friendly patience and understanding with my crew of guys who like to joke around every where were go. I enjoyed the breakfast items. Selection was decent compared to the usual mom and pop breakfast eateries. Next time I'm in the area we are going back to this place.

Lots to love and a little to question.

Pros: Good food, gracious service, clean but old interior.

Cons: The parking, lack of attention to detail and anticipation of needs.

Absolutely loved the food. The service was quick and attentive even for a to go order. The seating for to go orders felt like a corral. I have a suspicion its for waiting for table overflow.

The food was excellent and well worth the price. When I did dig in though, I was surprised to find sub-par white and rye toasts but the biscuits were great.

A note on service, I felt very individual here but anticipation is there but could be much better. I mentioned never eating here so I was handed a menu but not one to take home. I did look in the bags for one and nothing. Missed a step in getting a customer to return.

It is hard to find a menu online. There is an app somewhere but I couldn't find it. So the to go menu would have been great. I know its a small thing but attention to detail like that wouldn't go unnoticed.

This place is great, I love supporting local business, and this one is top notch for me.
I had fish and fries. (Fish and chips is one of my favorites) the fish was outstanding, breaded and fried perfectly. The fries actually tasted like they were pulled from a bag in the freezer. For me that's not necessarily bad though, feels a bit more like home. Service was excellent. Price was decent. I wouldn't hesitate to go again. Nice local place.

Great diner. Great prices. I had the steak and eggs. Steak cooked just the way I like it medium with the seasoning at a perfect balance, no steak sauce needed. Eggs over easy with yolk still in tacked. Great coffee. I had a great time with good food. I highly recommend that you come and give this small diner a chance, you will be surprised.

Always quick good service and great food I've only ever had breakfast in here before but today I had the shepherd's pie for lunch and it was so good didn't even need salt and pepper... My companion enjoyed the liver and onions. The prices are very reasonable as well.
