The Back Porch Restaurant

Very cute place to stop. It has indoor and outdoor home decor. Including lots of farmhouse. It also has a barn with antique furniture and stained glass. As for the lunch, very quaint! I feel like I'm visiting Aunt May and her old time home with a porch. The staff were friendly, happy, and helpful. The lunch is serviced in a picnic basket. (who can say that?) I chose the "fill your basket" and had a selection of soup, salad, sandwich, AND dessert for $8.52. While that may seem like a lot of food, it is sample size of each selection (except sandwich) and was just enough. AND I thought it was a very reasonable price. I also had their Raspberry iced tea. I liked it so much that I purchased tea bags to take home. I have been twice so far, both groups had 6 women each (different woman each time) and the service was very good, food very fresh, and each woman enjoyed themselves. No complaints at all!! Plus, all felt the 40 minute ride was worth it. (women in a car, chatting, come on :-) I will include pictures the next time I visit. This time, I only have the menu. Definitely worth a trip, in my opinion.

Interesting! Unique! Great food reasonably priced but served in picnic style baskets with styrofoam dishes. Great gift shop with plants and garden/yard decorations most made in China!

We love going to the Back Porch for lunch. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. They have lunch specials every day. Of course, many come there to shop for gifts and antiques.

While the menu may be limited it makes up for that with food that is very good. My wife and I have never had a meal that was not very good. I always get the build-your-own salad and it is always quite fresh and delicious. I highly recommend for the dessert the ice cream cookie sandwich. Very tasty. The service is outstanding and the prices are not expensive.

Very cute!! Lovely outdoor dining. The cream vegetable soup was very nice! Loved the upscale antique shops! Wow!!
