“Food here was quite good and the service was pleasant. This was my wife and I's first time eating here. The cashier was ready with a number of her own recommendations which made the ordering process much easier on us. At her recommendation, I ordered the chicken fried rice and my wife ordered the quarter chicken special. She also recommend that we try the sauce bar which we did. All of the food had a refreshing Latin flair with a bounty of flavor. I would be excited to see this location grow”

“This establishment provided a very good experience to me and one of my family members, we got great customer service and very great fish and chips. The fish was a good firm crunch on the outside but a good fluffy inside without a bunch of grease. The chips/fries were cooked perfectly to have the crispness but light enough to not break your tooth on, it provided a very well rounded experience with something some places can't get right. Overall a very great experience and would highly recommend this food establishment to others.”

“Went here at dinner time and was amazed at the service we received. There were a couple people in front of us, but they were handled very quickly. We had a rather complicated order which required them to make fresh blackened tenders, but they were quick to get them started. Our food was hot and tasted amazing. The staff were all extremely friendly and apologized for our wait, though it felt like nothing at all. We will definitely return!”

“I had an eye procedure done across the street which prevented me from being able to get back on the road immediately. So I stumbled into this little restaurant on the side of the road that was advertising fish fry. And I happened to be here on a Friday which was an all-you-can-eat fish fry for under $10! Charlie's family restaurant is the epitome everything you love about a family restaurant. My fish was light and crispy. The sides were delicious. The wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxing. And while I was a newcomer, i watched them interact with some regular visitors and both knew their "regular" order as well as ask about their families. It was almost as if this was directed to be a backdrop for a movie in which the Stars would wander into the local eatery at any moment! Now that I know where it is I hope to be back here again on one of my other visits to Lakeland. Truly a hidden gem.”
