B.D. Southern Home Cooking Cafe

A GREAT DOWN HOME COOKING place to eat. We eat there alot. Never have been disappointed with Breakfast, Lunch, or dinner. Always clean restaurant. Fair prices, ample parking, handicap parking and accessible. Bathroom not accessible for wheelchair. Wonderful waitresses. Great cooks. Just plain good eatin'. Photos coming up later.

Inside was very clean and staff was friendly. I only ordered biscuits and gravy to go and once I got home, I discovered It was not good at all. Seemed to have too much sage in the sausage or something. I couldn’t eat it. I’d be willing to give the restaurant another chance just won’t order the biscuits and gravy for sure.

Service was awesome. The menu has a wide variety to choose from including breakfast all day and prices are very reasonable. My food was okay, a little heavy on the seasoning, I had the seafood platter and side of okra. I will try something different next time.

Update:: I recently visited with friends, they loved it and I tried the patty melt it was good..

Was in the local area and decided to give this place a shot. I must say I'm very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and how the staff treats their customers. Our food was by far the best I've had from any locally owned restaurant. I was getting a little impatient by the amount of time it took to get my food but after tasting it, I say take all the time you need if it tastes like what I had today. Lol

I would recommend trying out this restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was great, loved the corn nuggets. Clean and comfortable environment as well. My only complaint is my bacon was very hard, not burnt just hard. I will absolutely be returning to eat here again!
