The Smokin´OX Premium BBQ

I failed to take any photos of my items. I’m kinda on the fence due to being from Carolina btw of Memphis. Meat usually flavorful by itself versus dousing it in sauce. I ordered Brisket that was chopped & sliced as well as some smoked wings that were cooked perfect. The sizes I got were the wedges, mac n cheese (greasy) & corn (greasy as well)I would’ve liked the meat to have been seasoned way more! The establishment is very clean and the staff are very attentive.

Ok but not great. Was hoping for better given the other reviews. The ribs were not “fall off the bone” tender and were frankly a bit chewy. The pork was moist, maybe too moist, leading me to question whether it was actually smoked. It didn’t have much flavor without the excellent sauce they offer. And the sauce was excellent! Mac and cheese was quite good, service was efficient. Overall though I don’t think I’ll be back to try the brisket they were out of. Just wasn’t all that.

My husband and I come fairly often, we really enjoy the food! We’ve had the pulled pork, ribs, brisket, baked beans, green beans, corn casserole, and Mac and cheese all which have ranged from good to fantastic! The wait usually depends on how busy it is, we’ve waited 5 mins at times and 20 minutes at other times, but we understand if it busy that’s just how it works. I like the Al a cart menu because you can get as much as you want. I’ve seen a lot of people saying they spent $70 on two people which make me wonder how the heck they ate all that food and how many days of leftovers did you have?? We usually eat for $30-$40 with a tip! Which is good considering your getting good food in a very clean restaurant!

I noticed this has been a common complaint. We’ve always bought 2 soda cups, but after I found out I was pregnant I started bringing my yeti water bottle. No one had never told me I couldn’t bring it or drink from it while being there. Honestly $1 for a water bottle isn’t bad at all especially with prices now a days. I feel it’s very accommodating for the customers.

My only thing would be to possibly get better desserts not a huge fan of the pound cake or banana pudding but it could just be me. Maybe some cookies would be nice:)

First let me say that this is the cleanest , best organized , neatest appearance restaurant I have every been in. It is the WOW factor to the power of infinity. In addition the owners have placed the American flag in a most tasteful manner. The menu and prices are very clearly displayed. Ordering is very easy and the food comes to your table on very clean well appointed trays. The food-is WOW…brisket , chicken very moist , very easy to cut and chew and amply portioned. The taste is incredible and the sauces provided cover everything from mild to spicy. The potato wedges are the best I’ve ever had . The beans are WOW..tasty. I enjoyed everything on my plate and tried as we all did everything on everyone else plate. The service is WOW. I very strongly have no hesitation recommending this restaurant and will return very soon. The final cost for four adults and two kids was $85 including tip. We left full with leftovers. GO , you will not be disappointed.
