The Grillehouse of Navarre

My wife and I wanted to have a good meal with a view for our anniversary. Near as I can tell, that means seafood locally which I’m completely good with but my wife is not a fan so we found The Grillhouse of Navarre. My wife loves a good steak so this seemed like a solid choice. The reviews were mixed but leaned towards the positive so we figured it was worth a go.
We arrived sometime after 5PM on a Saturday and we’re promptly seated outside. It wasn’t before long before a grey cat showed up and started low key meowing, not necessarily AT us but definitely to our benefit, LOL. We have cats at home so we know he/she wasn’t just singing along to the music. Anyhoo, he/she wasn’t bothering us so we just went with it. Our waitress arrived in a timely manner and took our drink and appetizer order. Both arrived in a timely fashion. The Fried Mushrooms had a satisfying crunch when bitten into but lacked flavor. For our entrees, I ordered the 10 ounce center-cut filet with Crispy Brussels with Bacon, Feta and Onion and Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese and my wife ordered the Signature Ribeye with Baked Potato. The cuts of beef were tender and flavorful if a bit salty. Both of our steaks were cooked as we requested but mine had a bit too much char for my liking. Both of my sides were lacking flavor as if the meals allocation of seasoning was expended entirely on the meat, LOL.
If you’re looking for a super fancy meal experience, this ain’t your place. If you’re looking for a laidback local place with excellent food, this ain’t your place either. If you’re looking for a slightly quirky spot with a view and don’t mind overspending for a meal as long as you don’t leave hungry, this is you all day, everyday. I don’t feel like I was taken advantage of but I also don’t feel like the “squeeze was worth the juice” so to speak. Our waitress was nice and attentive enough and our meals arrived quickly and accurately so kudos to the staff! I can’t really recommend The Grillhouse of Navarre but neither can I skewer them. A couple of culinary adjustments and this could really be an awesome option.

First time coming here. Service was slow at first as it took time to make eye contact to just get water. Appetizers are great and are large portions. The dueling crabs tasted great, but batter fell off the crab due to it not being coated evenly and was soggy overall. My only complaint is the atmosphere is lack luster and honestly is severely outdated. The roadway sign is confusing to the other restaurant next door. Also, not sure why you would have a fireplace wall going when it's 95°+ outside.

If you're in Navarre passing through or on vacation, you have to stop here. This Grillhouse has the best atmosphere and the most hospitable staff! Our server was the Best! There menu had a specific "17 and under menu," perfect for our kids. There Signature Steak definitely struck me well. You'll be sure to see us again.

The grill house of Navarre is excellent! We had the best steak ever! Not frozen, but fresh and on the grill. The weight staff is excellent. This is a great place for a date night or casual or a private dining room if you wish. There's handicap parking and handicapped entrance.

Wonderful dinner experience. Staff is so friendly. Our waiter Alex was so fabulous. He was understanding with my questions about the fish, and very helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the market grouper with crab and red risotto. Husband got the filet. Cannot say enough good about this place. We both enjoyed everything right down to the warm fresh rolls and house made butters. If in Navarre you have to try this place out!
