Bijou Cafe

If I could give this restaurant more stars I would.. my wife and I LOVE fine dining and decided to try Bijou Cafe. The attention to detail was impeccable and the wait staff took pride in themselves and the restaurant as a whole. The French onion and lobster bisque was some of the best I’ve had and the Lamb Chops were amazing! My wife hates lamb and actually enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food, nice wine selection, great service. The server even helped us order a half portion of the tagliatelle so we could try it. So tasty!

Very good food. Attentive staff. Good location. The menu has nice selections of fish and meat dishes, with a bit more variety than I usually see. The starters include standards, such as French onion soup (very good) and a Caesar salad (complete with anchovies). Starters also include roasted beet and citrus salad, which was delicious. My grilled tuna was nicely seared, being sushi-like in the center. Those having meat dishes were happy with them. We did find the restaurant darker than usual. Reading the menu was a challenge. Why do restaurants do this?

The Bijou Cafe is a superior restaurant! The ambience, the food, etc were all excellent. The only reason it didn't get our fifth star was the service. Some of the staff seem less than pleased to be a part of the process. I think it may be the lack of effective supervision. We will go back, but will request a member of the wait staff who enjoys their work.
