Daruma Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge Landings

The food was good but we were disappointed with the service. We had called ahead to make a reservation for my husbands birthday for 7:00. We waited until 7:15 before we were seated. A host came by and seated us informing us we would have the table to ourselves. Great.. not expected but nice. We sat there waiting for our table to fill up with no drink order taken or anything for about 15 minutes about ready to leave. We were now informed we were waiting on another party to get there. We didn’t get our first course till nearly 8:00. I realize things happen and we are pretty patient. What really upset us is the server refused to take our birthday coupon from my phone because it wasn’t printed. We intentionally spent more so they we could use it. I asked for the manager was told they don’t take them unless they are printed and they are strict about it. Disappointing..

I'm a vegetarian, so sometimes it's hard for me to go out to dinner.with choices. Daruma, in the Landings, definitely has many options for vegetarians. I chose the vegetable dinner over rice, it came with miso soup and a ginger salad, which was very delicious. The employees are very friendly , especially the sushi chefs.

Food fabulous. Sushi fresh and original. Love listening to the piano player. He is excellent and friendly.

Excellent food, fantastic service, and our last chef Pedro was phenomenal! Our waitress Olivia was on point and super friendly. We absolutely love this place, the sushi is always fresh and the ambiance is beautiful. All of the hostesses have been great, except for one. She may have been having a bad day, but if her attitude is always like that, she really needs to find another job! Fantastic experience every time we go though. Prices are fair, especially during the sunset specials, so tip well! Service is too good not to! A+++

Food was great. Service we as great, very attentive. The atmosphere lends itself to make friends.
