Fiorella Italian Bistro

Went to Fiorella last night based on a story in Sarasota Magazine. From the moment we walked in we were given a warm welcome by Tommy. Chelsea was our waitress and she is so polite and courteous. The menu is extensive and this is not a red sauce Italian so we needed time to make our selections. First thing was to select wine by the glass and my wife and I differ in that respect, my wife chose a Selenium falanghina which is white and I had an Selenium Italian red whose name escapes me. Both were excellent. Choice of The wines by the glass are limited. We shared the octopus with cannellini beans for our starter. So tender and more than enough to share.
My wife had rigatoni with sausage and I had the shrimp and scollop with the creamiest risotto. Portions are very generous and neither of us could finish our dishes. To complete the evening we had lemoncello.
The chef owner take great pride in his food and he spent a great deal of time talking with us on where he has worked and how he came to open this gem.

Amazing service by Ms. Chelsey and fabulous and outstanding food and wine. My mother said the wine was like nothing she has ever had before. Love this place!! Forget you Edwardo for thinking that this place was overrated!

We had a beautiful and expertly prepared meal tonight. Highly recommend!

Amazing place. The octopus was the best. The owner and staff treated us like family. Our favorite place in the Sarasota area.
