Delicious food! Great service, extensive wine list. Front door badly in need of paint, which was a weird first impression... Especially since its in a strip mall... Which is weird too. But seriously, the food was excellent!!
Memorable. Not your typical "red sauce and cheese spaghetti house". Home made pasta, home made caponata, lamb ragout to die for. Need I say more?
Tried multiple dishes tonight during my first visit there. The Gorgonzola Pudding small plate was unique and amazing. The Ravioli sampler was perfect, some of the freshest pasta you’ll ever have. The chef definitely takes pride in his dishes and it shows. Service was also excellent, will be back!
It's so rare to find a restaurant in Florida that is not super-sized and commercialized. Even mom and pop places tend to have a chain-restaurant look and feel in Florida. La Scarpetta is a welcome reprieve.
Small and intimate, cozy and rustic, you will feel like you're at the chef's table. Menu is tantalizing and extensive, service is attentive and superb. Our four entrees and assorted appetizers were simply sensational, and the prices are extremely fair and reasonable.
La Scarpetta is now our go-to for Italian, and since we live off University Parkway and need to drive quite a distance and past so many other choices, that says a lot.
Such a fantastic place! Food never disappoints and service is superb! Only complaint....can’t get in! Lol
