Georgies UTC Restaurant & Bar

Atmosphere is pretty lively, they have a nice shaded spot outdoors. Being August we opted for inside and had Julia as our server. She was really pleasant and helpful with suggestions and portion sizing questions. There are definitely not enough pictures of the food online so I took a pic of my chicken salad panini! It was delish. Crispy bread (like with a Cuban sandwich) with a generous amount of Brie and green apple. It was pretty tasty. We’ll be back for dinner at some point.

Georgies is decorated perfectly for a brunch with all of your best girls! It is chic, elegant, and bright. However, they still have a great dinner selection and ambiance! The menu options are unique and robust, great for all different taste buds and diets. The service is awesome and they do a great job of tending to the table to meet your expectations (because it’s a newer restaurant too.)

I ordered the shrimp & crab stack salad which was a mound of baby arugula, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, mango, avocado slices, topped with a generous portion of shrimp and crab salad! Each bite was too good! If you love a juicy and tender steak, the filet melts in your mouth! The cookie in a skillet was insanely sweet and slightly undercooked (but if you love raw cookie dough, this is for you!)

Just left brunch this morning. The atmosphere is very contemporary and beautiful. I love all the detail from the trees to the glasses. The menu was a bit pricey for breakfast but I can see why and say it’s definitely worth it. Our server Chris was awesome also. Answered our questions and made sure my coffee stayed hot/topped off.

Our food was delicious. I had the British breakfast and my fiancé had the vegan ranchero veggies. Both of our meals tasted fresh and not loaded with preservatives. Also, loaded with a lot of flavor. We will definitely be coming back to try out dinner another day.

I would come here alone to dine, that’s how lovely this place is. They did a really good job with the menu as well as the decor; pricing is reasonable too. Can’t wait to check out the nightlife! I’m excited to have somewhere of quality to visit!!

Georgie’s cafe is located adjacent to I-75 and University Blvd within the UTC shoppes in Sarasota, FL. It’s fairly new, just opened for a month or so. I visited for Sunday Brunch in search of salad options. My first impression was “WOW, the place is so beautifully decorated”. Very elegant, class and chic interior design. Staff was very friendly. They also offer outside dining and it’s great for big parties and children.
I had the George’s Garden Salad and my Dad had the Smashed Avocado Gluten Free Toast. Flavors were great. Presentation for the salad was on point. They also have a bar connected to the restaurant called Bar George for a more cocktail social vibe but you can order food and dine there as another option. It’s great to have such a chic ambiance in the heart of UTC. Thank You Georgie’s Garden Cafe and Bar Georgie for choosing Sarasota as your new home.
