Best French bakery in the Sarasota - Bradenton area. If you want the best almond croissant, come here!

We’ve had the Almond croissant, ham and brie sandwiches, a variety of tarts and pastries and cappuccinos, and All were great. I waited to write this review until I had tried the competition. This bakery is definitely the best. The almond croissant was sliced, filled with almond paste and warmed after I ordered it, which made for a perfect croissant. Unlike the other bakeries in town, which I’ve found either don’t add almond paste at all, and serve them dry and at room temperature, or they add the paste before putting them in the display case and they’re served soggy.

There can be a long wait here, especially on weekends, but I see that as a positive because it only supports my opinion that this place is the best!

I had a wonderful breakfast catching up with a family member in a very friendly atmosphere. Many of the “regulars” were very welcoming. The food is outstanding; I’d highly recommend the bacon and cheese omelette and don’t forget to take home some of their incredible pastries.

Absolutely the best coffee and pastries! I would have given them 5 stars if it didn't take us as long to order and wait for the food. However you know it's made to order!

Rendez-vous provides Sarasota with the perfect combination of indoor/outdoor seating and cafe items. Moreover, they offer two separate menus depending on the time of day, that way you can go any time they're open and get something appropriate to eat. I recommend getting the almond croissant while you're there. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is the stale coffee we got while we were there, as well as, the fly that was inside where we were seated.
