Newcastle Brown Ale & the best fish & chips in town. If you've been to the UK and miss chips and chip shop curry, I have good news for you; it's available as a secret menu item upon request. Enjoy!
I originally rated this place a three. Boy am I glad I gave it another chance. The Horseradish Cheddar burger is probably the best in town. The beer selection is excellent and so is the staff. Will definitely be back.
This place has promise. I'm sure I wouldn't have been so persnickety about it if I had gone there for drinks and found that they had passable food. However, I went there for food. It turned out that the wait/bar staff was great. Everything else was just good enough that I would go back again if someone else suggested it.
This Pub is found on the mainland just off the North Bridge for Siesta Key. Shakespeare's Pub is a great location to find craft beers and the best bangers and mash anywhere on the Gulf Coast. There's usually a wait for your food due to the popularity of this place regardless of the night you choose but food is worth the wait.
Parking can be a little tricky as it's located in a narrow Plaza . Please be aware that the kitchen closes approximately 30 minutes before the pup does.
Excellent service and burger. Returned about 3 months later, maybe less than that, food and service was just as good. Got the fried pickles. Spears but chips. You don't get a lot but well worth the money. The dip was not quite as spicy and for light salt on the chips that come by still very good. The hamburger we got was fantastic. Better than the first time and wasn't sure that was possible. If you go and don't really enjoy it, give it a second chance. We have found that each cook can do things differently and sometimes that's the key.
