Vernona Gourmet Market, Restaurant & Lounge

My wife and I thought we would give Vernona’s Bistro and Gourmet Market on St. Armand’s a try.
I didn’t know I was hungry for lamb chops til I saw them on the menu. My wife opted for the Crab Cakes. We had an awesome dinner - Crab Cakes were all Crab meat - seasoned perfectly. The Lamb chops were expertly grilled to perfection – exceptionally flavorful and melted in your mouth. Our meals were accompanied by perfectly baked potatoes with lots of butter and sour cream along with a medley of vegetables - lightly seasoned and grilled. We were also very impressed by the service - very attentive to our needs. Five Stars in every category.

Amazing crab cake sliders, happy hour menu is a must try! Plus there is something for everyone here it seems... local market, great eats, beautiful cocktails, local art, and yoga studio this place is my new neighborhood hangout spot.

Great idea to have a market on the circle! Much needed. My husband and I had dinner there tonight and both had hamburgers. They were delicious. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

What a unique and wonderful addition to St Armand’s. It’s nice having a gourmet market without having to leave the island or drive miles away. Great staff and terrific food. I love that they offer locally sourced ingredients and vendors. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

We tried the restaurant on only its second evening offering dinner. Not busy for a Tuesday evening and we weren't sure what to expect. The food was outstanding. I had the mustard crusted salmon and my wife had the prime rib. The salmon was a sizable portion, perfectly cooked, with a wonderful flavor. Super tasty. My wife's prime rib was also very good. House cocktails and they key lime pie were also superb. Service was friendly and warm. I'm rather curious to see if we got lucky or if St. Armands Circle has landed a great restaurant.
