The Old Jailhouse Kitchen & Spirits

Really great food and excellent service. You have to try the cauliflower, burger and jailhouse fries. The sweet potatoe, curry and coconut soup was really awesome, too. Our server Mike was wonderful and so nice! Everyone was very friendly. We will be regulars!

Amazing. Amazing atmosphere, food, total experience. I had the burger and it was one of the best I've had in almost ever. And the fingerling potato "fries" were out of this world. Definitely want to go back again. It is on the $$$ side, but most definitely worth it.

Had dinner just the other night. Wait time was about 45 min at 5:30. The atmosphere is very unique and fun. The food was very tasty. The review has 3 stars because the food is quite expensive and the servings are very small. I ordered the Low Country Skewer. 6 med. shrimp, 1/3 of an Italian sausage, small scoop of cheese grits and some leafy greens for $23. I would only recommend visiting if you want a burger and a beer. Even the beer was $6. I’m not cheep and enjoy a good place to go, but I was still hungry when I left.

Some friends and I tried a new place in Sanford tonight, The Old Jailhouse. The food was incredibly delicious. The service was superior. We requested to be seated outside, but it quickly became a little chilly. Our waitress Sarah found us an inside table. Actually, Sarah got permission for us to be seated at the reserve table which was the solitary confinement table behind bars. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere, staff, the entire experience was beautiful! We highly recommend The Old Jailhouse and will be returning. Check it out for a date night or night out with friends/family (restaurant is full of history) and you will love it!

Give it a try. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and how to learn drinks and desserts. The food stood out it is a creative and fun menu and not to pretentious. The setting is very dope. It encourages you to take cool pictures all over the restaurant. Tried the cauliflower app, the wings, pork belly, the key lime cheese cake, and several signature drinks.
