1912 Ocean Bar & Rooftop

Dinner with a view of the ocean was a delightful experience. However, once night time approached the patio was a little too dark to fully appreciate the food. It would have been nice if some candles were provided to enhance the ambiance. As for the appetizer, the cornbread was nothing out of the ordinary, but the jam and honey butter accompanying it were delicious. Moving on to the main dish, the catch of the day, which was snapper, was absolutely delightful in terms of taste and preparation. I did not like the taste of the piece of crab that accompany the dish. Additionally, the rooftop area provided a great atmosphere to enjoy drinks and added to the overall experience, but no music. The rooftop did have TV’s for entertainment.

We were able to sit outside and the view was beautiful. The service was not great, we felt like the staff was not overly friendly. When we sat down we received another table's cornbread appetizer by mistake. (which they did let us keep at no charge and it was good) Took awhile for our waitress to greet us, the food and drinks were slow to arrive. We didn’t have silverware when our meals came and my husband had to cut his steak with a butterknife since a steak knife was not provided. The second drink I got wasn’t made the same as the first drink. If you want to sit outside you need to call and ask or when you get there tell them you’ll wait for a table outside. The hostess told us outdoor seating is based on availability once you arrive. There is not a selection online to choose indoor or outdoor tables.

Looking for awesome venue with an outstanding view? 1912 is that place! Service was extremely good with attentive waiter. The food was good but did not live up to the ambiance and service. For our appetizer we had the cornbread which was really good. Would definitely order again. I ordered off the menu ... catch of the day, which was grouper. It came with lobster grits with a fairly large piece of lobster as well as succotash with a butter bur blanc. I was not a big fan of the grits. The pinkish color was off-putting. The succotash was really good. The grouper was good but a little overcooked. The rest of my party ordered the specials. One had scallops and the other had the steak and added a side of the scallops. The scallops were cooked correctly but the temperature on the steak was not correct. Had to send back. We also injoyed libations from the bar. They were very good. I would recommend you try 1912. I would go back.

Started at the Rooftop bar to take in the views. Great place for sunset photos. The atmosphere was beautiful and made for a great place to meet new people and enjoy some friend time. The house drinks were refreshing and definitely easy to keep asking for more. The food was delicious and definitely will go back to try more drinks and dinner choices.

The view is just exceptional. Ocean side. The sound of the waves crashing and the view of the sun setting were relaxing. The immaculate modern renovation of the oceanfront home turned restaurant was impressive. Unfortunately, the kitchen was exceptionally slow. The waitstaff was not very attentive and the food didn’t rise to be an equal experience. It was lacking flavor. The mixed drinks were poured far too strong. The meal quality does not sit on par with the prices or the vibe.
