Went to the Blackfly for the first time with a couple of friends, and had a great dining experience at the restaurant. The restaurant has a sit down bar area on one side and a sit down area that is separated in the middle by the walking entrance. The atmosphere is casual dining and the deco within the restaurant is great. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and even recommended the scallops as an appetizer, which were amazing. The meal comes with fresh bread while you wait for your food. We had the Chef menu catch of the day which was Yellow Snapper stuffed with crab meat, everyone else ordered the steak and lobster meals. As you can see from the stars the meals came out fresh and tasting amazing no complains. The lobster was seasoned well that no butter was needed because it came with a sauce that you could use. We had one issue with one of the steaks not cooked too liking and they quickly resolved the situation by bringing it back and cooking another steak on the grill and even offering our friend a free desert. Most places would have brought the steak back and recooked it not them. The level of attention and customer service was on point and impeccable that on top of the food selection you will be wanting to come back for more. If you are looking for a Surf and turf type of place then give this place a shot and you will not regret coming here.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND RESTAURANT…..ATMOSPHERE, CUSTOMER SERVICE, FOOD AND LEVEL OF SERVICE PLUS PLUS++

Food is usually very good here. This is one of my go to spots to bring out of town clients before walking st George st. Service can be hit or miss, appetizers on the small side but good flavor. Sweet tea will make you diabetic so ask them to cut it 50/50. Best entree may be the fried shrimp platter. This is my favorite place for fried shrimp in the area

Fantastic place! Our server was George who described the history and the owner of the place. He made our dinner very interesting and such a pleasure. The food was on point and we'll be back when were in town again.

Great food and setting. We enjoyed our gathering with dear friends!

Service was slow due to a challenge in kitchen but once we shared with the manager, he responded very quickly and demonstrated great service recovery. Folks make mistakes but an organization that addresses problems with such speed mean a lot for customers! We will go back!

If you are looking for a low key fish house with top grade food and wines, this is the place. Bright, friendly. Excellent service and some unexpected menu items. You can do vegetarian in style. Well worth a stop in. Do try the conch chowder. Spiced to perfection.
