Steak 'n Shake

Today was a pleasant experience. I had quit going to this chain due to continued horrible experiences at the one at Regency area in Jacksonville. Since this is a totally different area we checked it out. Received immediate attention and perfect service. I will go back gladly to this one again. I was a bit caught off guard that the restroom appeared to be a bit behind in cleaning but I expect that to not be the norm. Our order was perfect. The large drink cup is flimsy and finger went through it. Hope they will switch out their purchasing order for somewhat better quality drink cups.

Food was good, service was good. Was disappointed by hostess, she was not pleased when we asked for another seating to accommodate my Walker and my grandson's wheelchair. Gave a long speech on how they could not refuse us service because of the handicap law by we had to make sure not to interfere with other customers. There was only on other family on the other side of the room
We requested a table in the corner. A family of 4 and an elder couple came as we were about to leave. There was no one else to interfere with. I don't feel the need for her comments. Have been in some of your other dinners and have never been treated this way. Staff has always been polite and helpful. Sincerely Connie J. Lockerby

Inexpensive, consistently very good food. Clean, always seems a bit understaffed though. Be sure to go to the register to pay when the line is short and someone is working the register. If you go up when no one is working the register, no one will stop what they are doing to take your money. You'll just be standing there money in hand for ten minutes until someone takes a break and decides to let you pay the bill. Oh.. also bring a jacket, sometimes it's freezing cold.

Steak and shake has great food and shakes no matter where you go. However this location is dirty with food all over the floor. It needs a professional deep cleaning of the tiles. Obviously that hasn’t happened in a long time if ever. I only hope the kitchen area is cleaner. The area behind the booths where the servers get drinks and pick up the orders was a disaster with napkins and food all over the floor.The trash can there was overflowing. The bathroom had its own issues. Please Mr Owner do something to make our SteaknShake sparkle! We do love the food.
