Dessert First Bistro

Great food! The grits were the best I have ever had, as well as the house-made coleslaw. Not to mention the outrageous desserts!

The first time I have ever been to this particular place like the food very well clean paperwork plat Francis was reasonable will return with family!

It was our first experience with Dessert First Bistro. The food was good, but we had 2 small children and their menu stated to ask about their kid's menu, which I did. One of the ladies behind the counter told me that they can make whatever the kids will eat, for instance grilled cheese or scrambled eggs. I ordered a croissant with cream cheese, side of bacon and milk for each kid, for which I was charged a la carte price, which comes out to more than a kids' meals should ever cost. When I questioned the pricing at the register, a different lady told me that they don't have a kid's menu....Why put it in the menu to ask about kid's menu then? And I did not need adult size side of bacon for my kids who are 3 and 5...Good food but not kid friendly...

The breakfast I ate here was seriously the best I've had in all of Florida.

The English muffins were light, crispy and perfectly buttery, the taters and bacon exquisitely crispy, and the eggs were as fluffy as a cloud on a bright summer day. The coffee from the carafe, a beautiful locally roasted and brewed dark black punctuation mark to a hand written poem of taste made real on a breakfast plate.

My husband and I stopped here every morning for breakfast while visiting St. Augustine/ Vilano Beach because the food was so amazing and we really couldn't see eating breakfast any other place. First of all, the coffee/espresso drinks are great. The biscuits are huge, like a 2 in 1 and everything is homemade, including the delicious quiche, as well as cinnamon rolls and many other desserts. When you order a breakfast sandwich, you get the option of your bread of choice- biscuit, croissant, English muffin or bagel. The same goes for the breakfast plate- grits, regular hash browns, sweet potato hash browns or home fries, as well as your choice of meat and eggs. The location is lovely too. You can sit outside or inside and still view the water. Unfortunately, we didn't eat lunch here, as we were away seeing historic St. Augustine during the day but I'm convinced the lunch is delicious just like the breakfast since everything is homemade and fresh cooked daily. I recommend this place highly. It will only add to the great experience St. Augustine has to offer.
