This was by far a highlight of going to St Augustine for me. The food was incredible very fresh. I had ordered the gator tail bites and vanilla grouper and for dessert I had gotten the chocolate cake. The gator tail bites was very good and crispy came extremely quick after ordering and the dipping sauce was very complementary to the bites. Then the grouper it was very fresh however I wasn't to much a fan of the vanilla sauce. It to me was kinda bland and ruined the flat of the fish. Then the chocolate dessert. If you like chocolate and rich sweet chocolate you’ll love this dessert. It is hard to find a rich chocolate slice of cake at a restaurant but this was definitely worth trying and I'm glad I did. Please be aware you will be waiting if you are trying to sit outside on the patio area. When we arrived they told us we were looking at an hour and a half or we could sit inside and wait only 35 min. We chose to sit inside of course and the waiting didn't seem that long to be honest and I feel sitting inside was the better option anyways.
They have a bunch of seating so you won't have to worry about feeling clustered together. If you are in a rush I suggest getting here asap so your wait isn't long. They do not take reservations so be aware of that. This is a great date night spot or just a great place to eat with friends or family. The view here cannot be beat and I highly recommend you visit here service is great and the view is beyond belief.

Fantastic service from the entire staff. The food is excellent. The setting and views are memorable and breathtaking. If you are in St. Augustine, make the short drive to North Beach. You won't be disappointed.

a little gem hidden away between Jacksonville beaches and St Augustine. I've lived in Jacksonville since 1986 but never made the effort 2 have lunch or dinner at this restaurant. I highly recommend it. The staff were a delight and the food is amazing. The fish is fresh everyday. It's worth just walking around and taking pictures. Enjoy your visit to caps

Great food and fun atmosphere. The deck is heated with propane heaters and lit with just enough light. The service was great, quick, friendly, and personal. My only complaint was the portions were slightly small. I would have liked ONE more shrimp! I would go back to this place again.

An exquisite place and one of the BEST I have been. Believe me I will rate with more starts if I could. As soon as you get in the parking lot you feel something different and as you all of you know I love the Different! Once we got to the host she greeted us nicely and the wait time was supposed to be 30 min. In the meantime you can wait in one of the two bars they have, but I suggest you to go to the one outside because the view it's UNBELIEVABLE, the Villagio Beach it's right there and at the time we were there (around 5pm) we experienced the sunset with beautiful colors all right there in front of you. As soon as we got our table the waitress in a very nice way helped us. We wanted an specific wine and they didn't have it. Then we kept on trying until at the third time we finally got the wine we wanted. Even the manager came to apologize because they didn't have the previous 2 wines we ordered.
The waitress gave us time to enjoy our wine along with the amazing view. Have I told you this is one of my favorite restaurants?

They gave us bread while our food came.
Food was exquisite and unique. I had tuna with fried spinach ( yes Fried! ) and sweet plantains.

I wish I could go back! Thank you Caps on the water.
