Cousteau's Waffle and Milkshake Bar

We came here with others. One person liked theirs, but the other said it was just okay and that she was not a fan of it. The staff was friendly. Very small shop with bar stool seating inside. There appeared to be some seating outside as well.

Don’t get the hype. Maybe shakes are good but waffles aren’t. Batter is dense and chewy. Didn’t taste like a waffle but more like a cinnamon bun. I got a waffle with 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream and the ice cream was so bland and sweet. Wouldn’t come back unless it’s for a smoothie. Nice ambiance and good service though.

Absolutely DELICIOUS. This is one of THE BEST dessert places in St. Augustine. There’s a lot to choose from between milkshakes and waffles, all sound amazing. Our orders were made quickly and we enjoyed them in the cute seating area. As a dessert lover I can positively say that this place is in my top 5 favorites! Definitely give it a try if you’re in St. Augustine!

The cutest!! We were just walking around downtown and I demanded we go inside. It was adorable. Very polite staff and my waffle with blueberry compote was amazing. Bottled coke too which we found delightful. Definitely worth a quick stop inside.

Cousteau's was amazing! I have now been a few more times since my first experience, and every time is just great. I have only had a couple different gourmet waffles, but I am eager to try the milkshakes next. They offer a small little seating area inside, and it's such a nice vibe.

If you are looking for a quick and amazing dessert while you are downtown, do not pass this place up. I highly recommend.
